Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 16, 2026
We believe privacy policies should be easy to read. So here is ours — in plain language, no legal fog.
The short version
We collect what we need to make PrintEnPlace work for you (your email and how you use the app). We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We use it to run the service and make it better. That's it.
What we collect and why
Information you give us
When you create an account, we ask for:
- Your email address and password — so you can log in and we can contact you about your account. Your password is securely hashed; we never store or see it in plain text.
If you subscribe to a paid plan:
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Information generated when you use the app
- Label data (product names, dates, allergens, categories) — this is what you type into the label generator. We store it so you can access your label history and reprint.
- Usage patterns — things like how many labels you create, which features you use, and what print method you prefer. This helps us understand what's working and what needs fixing.
- Basic device info — browser type, screen size, general location (country level). Standard web analytics to keep the app running smoothly.
What we do NOT collect
- We don't track you across other websites.
- We don't collect precise geolocation.
- We don't read, analyze, or monetize your label content for any purpose other than providing you the service.
How we use your information
- To run the service — creating labels, saving your history, processing prints.
- To improve the product — understanding which features get used, fixing bugs, optimizing performance.
- To communicate with you — this includes account notifications, service updates, onboarding tips, usage reminders, and support responses. These communications are part of the service you signed up for. We will not send promotional or marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in.
- To process payments — handled entirely by Stripe.
- To keep things secure — detecting unusual activity, preventing abuse.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Period.
We only share data with services that help us run PrintEnPlace:
- Supabase — Database and authentication. They access your account data and label data.
- Stripe — Payment processing. They access your billing information.
- Vercel — Hosting and analytics. They access basic web analytics and performance data.
We may integrate additional services in the future (such as cloud printing or marketing tools). If we do, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before any new data sharing begins.
Each of these services has their own privacy policy. They process your data on our behalf, not for their own purposes.
We may also share information if legally required (court order, law enforcement request) — but we'd notify you first unless legally prohibited from doing so.
Cookies and tracking
Currently, we only use essential cookies — the ones needed for the app to function (like keeping you logged in). No advertising cookies, no social media trackers.
If we add non-essential cookies or third-party analytics tools in the future (such as marketing pixels or advanced analytics), we will:
- Update this privacy policy.
- Ask for your explicit consent before activating them.
- Give you a clear way to opt out at any time.
How long we keep your data
- Account data: As long as your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion to allow recovery.
- Label history: As long as your account is active. Deleted when you delete your account.
- Payment records: 7 years after the transaction, as required by tax law.
- Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized within 90 days.
When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregated data (like total labels created that month) may remain because it can't be traced back to you.
Your rights
No matter where you live, you can:
- Access your data — ask us what we have about you.
- Correct your data — fix anything that's wrong.
- Delete your account and data — we'll process it within 30 days.
- Export your data — get a copy of your information.
- Object to certain processing — tell us to stop using your data for a specific purpose.
- Withdraw consent — change your mind at any time.
If you're in Brazil (LGPD)
You have all the rights above, guaranteed under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados. Our legal basis for processing your data is: (a) your consent when you create an account, and (b) legitimate interest for service improvement and security. You can contact our data protection contact at the email below.
If you're in the European Union (GDPR)
You have all the rights above, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing is: (a) contract performance (providing the service you signed up for), (b) legitimate interest (improving the service and security), and (c) consent where required.
If you're in California (CCPA)
You have the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of data sales. Since we don't sell your data, there's nothing to opt out of — but the right is yours regardless.
Children's privacy
PrintEnPlace is a business tool for food service professionals. It's not designed for or directed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.
International data transfers
Our servers are hosted by Vercel and Supabase, which operate infrastructure globally (primarily in the United States). If you're using PrintEnPlace from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US with appropriate security safeguards in place.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication through Supabase, and PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe.
That said, no system is 100% bulletproof. If we ever discover a data breach that affects you, we'll notify you promptly.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll notify you by email before they take effect. Small clarifications or formatting changes won't trigger a notification, but we'll always update the "Last updated" date at the top.
